  1. more of an exercise question than a diet question, methinks.

  2. don't worry about it if your goal is to lose 10 pounds, you're not going to lose it only from your backside. when i was 200 pounds, i had a big butt. i'm now 145, and i still have a big butt. getting rid of my hindquarters would take serious extra-special work, because i'm obviously made to have a big butt. i'm guessing you're in the same boat.
that being said... i don't know if you work out right now, but if you don't, you may notice some differences pretty quickly if you start with 30 minutes of cardio (even brisk walking) about four times a week and a couple of weight training sessions a week. basic squats, lunges, bicep curls, tricep dips... things you alreay know how to do, will go a long way toward toning you up. if you already work out a lot, obvioulsy you'll need to do more strenuous exercises or some that are different from those you do regularly.
weight training is really going to be key for you, since you don't have much weight to lose. it's going to help you tone. you may even notice that you're gaining weight, but your clothes will get looser. that's because muscle weighs more than fat, although it takes up less space.
    good luck.

  3. you sounds just like me i've been told by quite a few people that i have a "ghetto booty" over the years. i take it as a compliment because i love my butt.
but, there is nothing worse than a giggly or flabby one- which can happen easily. if you're trying to keep it (like me) why not work on making it stronger/firmer as well?
as you drop weight, it may get smaller (probably not noticeably to anyone- even yourself). but you can definitely make it firmer, and that will probably make it look even better to you.
for me, reverse lunges are a fav exercise that i can really feel in my glutes. make sure you're using enough weight. most other basic compound motions like squats and deadlifts are going to help as well.
load up on leg day and make that booty really pop!

  4. Reverse lunges??? what exactly is a reverse lunge? sorry for the idiocy.=o)

  5. step backwards with the moving leg rather than forward.

  6. so basically... it's the same, but in reverse. haahaa... thanks, but now I really feel dumb. lol

  7. never feel dumb asking way dumber to not ask and then use poor form or do it totally wrong.
always strive to learn more about your health and body!

  8. exercise Don't worry about losing all your weight in your butt. Most likely you will lose weight all over.
I went from having a pancake flat butt to having a shapely butt by doing reverse lunges, walking lunges, and squats. Probably walking and running on hills has helped, too. It is the only part of my body that actually got bigger, and I'm really glad!
